The KJH Cares team put on their aprons and pulled up their sleeves to chop cabbage and peel hard-boiled eggs for a meal that served over 40 visitors to the St. Felix Centre in Toronto. Under the supportive guidance of Patrick and Caryn, Program Managers of the St. Felix Centre, we learned about the critical role the centre plays to support those in need within our communities. Established in 1993, the St. Felix Centre is a multi-service community centre located in Downtown Toronto that serves a wide range of clients including children, youth, adults, seniors, recent immigrants and individuals and families who are experiencing poverty, trauma, violence, abuse, malnutrition, mental illness, addiction and homelessness.
