As Chief Executive Officer of KJ Harrison Investors, Joel is responsible for driving the firm’s strategic vision in pursuit of building the most relevant private client firm in Canada. Working with a team of partners over the past 20 years, Joel has proudly built KJ Harrison from $80 million to over $1.7 billion in assets under management.

Joel does more than oversee the firm, however; he also works closely with clients as a Portfolio Manager. On a discretionary basis, Joel manages investment portfolios for a significant base of high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families throughout Canada.

Prior to joining KJ Harrison Investors, Joel was an Analyst at Canadian Mortgage Capital Corp. where he was responsible for underwriting commercial real estate financing opportunities and placing them with third-party Canadian financial institutions.

Joel serves on the Board of Whitehall Apartments Incorporated and GraceMed. In the community, Joel is a committed supporter of the Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital and a former board member of the Oakville Hospital Foundation.

In addition to investing, Joel enjoys spending time with his wife and their two children, and playing his favourite sports – squash, tennis and skiing.
